In Robert Kiyosaki’s book, “The Conspiracy of the Rich- The 8 New Rules of Money”, Kiyosaki gives a no holds barred account of the factual, historical events that shaped today’s economy, financial, and education systems. This post is a summary based on this must read book.

The rules of money officially changed for good in 1971 when then- President Richard Nixon (visualize waving his hands and jowels while making double peace signs saying, “I am not a crook”- how poetic) took the U. S. off the gold standard without approval of Congress.

His action was one event in a series of crippling events that created the economic crisis of today and gave the U. S. permission to print as much fiat currency and create as much debt as they wanted.

{*Fiat Currency is defined as “any money declared by a government to be legal tender; state-issued money which is neither legally convertible to any other thing, nor fixed in value in terms of any objective standard. The term derives from the Latin fiat, meaning “let it be done”. … by wikipedia}

In other words, money as we knew it was not back by anything; it’s value was literally determined by the government (ruh roh Shaggy!).

In my opinion the crisis we’re in will continue and get worse. Why? Think about it. The people who created and perpetuated this crisis are still in charge. The government is still printing money and racking up debt that is devaluing our dollar at a rapid rate (there is massive evidence to support the ultimate goals of the government, Fed, and Central Bank but I won’t get into that in this post).

Bailouts continue to rise at an alarming rate. The mega banks and financial institutions who’ve helped accelerate the crisis continue to reap the rewards at the expense of the middle class.

Inflation is already rearing it’s ugly head in the form of rising commodity costs, but the retailers have shielded us for the most part due to the fact that they’re absorbing the costs. This can’t or won’t last.

At some point the crisis will come to a head when the countries we owe money to will stop accepting our “Notes” and come to collect in the form of tangible assets.

The bottom line is the current system is engineered to make the ultra rich even richer at the expense of the middle class, driving them down into the lower class.

Sounds like a gloom and doom prediction, doesn’t it?

Well guess what? Every crisis provides us with the greatest opportunity for prosperity!

“What? How can that be possible, if everything you described above comes true?”

If the worst case scenario happens, people will have desperate needs, more than ever in our lifetimes. Where there’s problems, there’s a need for solutions. Sharp, forward thinking individuals who can position themselves in front of the problems with viable solutions will absolutely thrive in the new economy.

Which means more people starting their own small businesses, home based businesses, whatever the model is. Successful businesses provide solutions for people with needs and wants. It’s never been easier to start a sustainable business for very little and get it profitable in a short period of time (you just need to align yourself with the right people, will discuss on a later post).

Did you know more wealth was created during the Great Depression that any other time in our history?

Any guess as to what’s happening right now?

You guessed it. More wealth is being transferred from the lower and middle class to the rich than during the depression. You see, wealth doesn’t disappear. It moves through markets, in and out of people’s hands, in and out of asset classes, and typically from poor to rich (not because of theft or dishonesty, but because of education- or lack thereof). It’s been that way since the beginning of time.

The key is to figure out what the wealthy know that you don’t. In the past that’s been virtually impossible because most of us couldn’t afford to hire Robert Kiyosaki or Donald Trump’s financial advisors.

But that’s about to change. A group of mentors of mine have put together a very inexpensive membership group to give everyone access to this kind of information. Consumables vs. Assets

For decades network marketers and retailers have been preaching the importance of selling “consumable” items because once they’re used up, they have to be replaced.

Network marketing companies got creative and started selling their products in 1 months supplies to encourage monthly autoship.

The problem with stockpiling consumables is the longer they sit, the less value they maintain.  The quality doesn’t improve over time, it dissipates.

And who wants a garage full of over- priced consumable product you can’t get rid of?

Now what if you were stockpiling an asset; something you could actually show on your financial statement?

Something that could actually be counted as an asset when applying for a loan?

I’m not qualified or licensed to sit here and tell you that graded numismatic coins are a great investment.  That’s up to you and your broker to decide. Numis is not an investment company.

Is Numis Worth the Risk?

I would say yes, so much so that I made Numis Network my primary opportunity.  To summarize, here’s why:

1.  Product Demand- You’re selling money, something that everyone wants more of.  Enough said.

2.  Management Team- Tons of experience in direct sales industry, top gold and silver coin distributor in the world

3.  Compensation Plan- Benefit- laden plan that rewards the driven entrepreneur

4.  Marketing Sytem- No, I’m not talking about the Numis Network marketing plan.  I’m talking about the system my mentors and I use to brand ourselves and generate tons of leads online (my mentors lead the strongest team in the company, occupying the #1 and #2 spots for personal recruits).

In my opinion Numis Network is a great choice for entrepreneurs for several reasons.  But not for the training.  I would never trust any network marketing company’s training. They’re all designed to train you to sell their products/services and make them more money, not you.

To make money in this business you have to ignore the company training and align yourself with mentors who can teach you how to market yourself and build a strong business around multiple streams of income.

There’s a great story that speaks to the importance of being true to yourself and not trying to please everyone all the time in your MLM network marketing business.  I enjoyed it and I think you will too.

Walking with the Donkey

An old man and a young man are traveling with a donkey. As they approached the nearest town they with their donkey, the local school children began to pass them, giggling, laughing, and saying, “Look at these fools. They have a strong donkey with them and they are walking. At least the old man could sit on the donkey.”

Pleasing the Crowd

Listening to those children the old man and the young man asked, “What should we do? People are laughing and soon we will be entering the town, it might be better to do what they say.” So the old man sat on the donkey and the young man walked along beside.

Then they came near another group of people who said, “Look!  The old man is sitting on the donkey and the poor boy is walking. This is absurd! The old man can walk, but the boy should be allowed to sit on the donkey.”  So they switched places. The old man started walking and the boy was allowed to sit.

Pleasing No One

Then another group came by and said, “Look at these fools. This boy seems to be too arrogant. Maybe the old man is his father or his teacher and he is walking while the boy is sitting on the donkey – this is not right!”  So what did they do? They both decided that now there is only one thing left to do, that they both should sit on the donkey.  And they did.

Then other groups came by and  said, “Look at these people, so violent! The poor donkey is almost dying carrying two people.  It would have been better if they carried the donkey on their shoulders.”

So they again discussed the situation knowing soon they would reach the river and the bridge they must cross. They had now almost reached the edge of town, so they thought, “It is better to behave as people think in this town; otherwise they will think we are fools.” So they found a bamboo and hung the donkey by his legs,  carrying him on their shoulders. Uncomfortable and scared, the donkey tried to rebel and escape as he is not concerned with what others are saying. But the man and the boy were too strong and they forced him, so the donkey had to yield.

Losing Everything

In the middle of the bridge a crowd passed and gathered to say,  “Look at these fools! We have never seen such idiots – a donkey is to ride upon, not to carry on your shoulders. Have you gone mad?”

As a great crowd gathered, the donkey became restless again, so much so that he jumped and fell from the bridge, down into the river to his death.  (MessageFromMasters.com)

The moral of the story: “If you try to please everyone sooner or later you’ll end up losing your ass”.

Are You Guilty?

Are you trying so hard to please everyone else you can’t get ahead? One of the best MLM secrets is to do what you know is right and what works for you. Don’t worry about trying to please everyone else. Be a leader in your field and work to attract those of like mind. Train your team to work this way. This way you won’t end up carrying your donkey when you should be riding him!

Whew, just escaped a biz opp pitch fest on Twitter. If you’re in MLM Network Marketing and I introduce myself to you in person, are you going to shake my hand and immediately start vomiting your biz pitch all over me?

Is that any way to build a relationship? People don’t join companies, they join people. You wouldn’t strip naked or propose marriage the first time you meet your dream date, , would you (If “yes”, seek help now)?

And people wonder why MLM/Network Marketing gets such a bad rap. The MLM and network marketing companies aren’t the problem, it’s the reps who, out of desperation and a sense of lack (instead of abundance), spew their “best opportunity ever” pitch to friends, family, and anyone who will listen.

Why is this the worst possible way to go about building a MLM network marketing business?  Several reasons:

1.  Your friends and family do not want to be stalked to join the latest, greatest, can’t miss, automatic cash money business in the world today!

2.  Same thing goes for strangers

3.  Believe it or not, very few people you approach randomly are actually looking for a business opportunity at that time

4.  This marketing approach is not targeted to groups of people who’ve already been identified as someone being interested in learning more about business opportunities

5.  This marketing strategy is not leveraged, meaning there are only so many hours in a day to get your message out and reach targeted prospects. You can only pitch so many people on the phone or face to face in a day

6.  It gives the MLM and Network Marketing industry a black eye when reps fly around wildly, pitching everyone they know, making false income and performance claims.

7. It creates high turnover as people are pressured into joining something they’re really not passionate about, only to drop out a short time later.

If this is you, put your online communication into real life in a face to face perspective. If we meet at a networking event, I’m going to ask you what you do, ask about your family, kids, interests, and hobbies to see if we have anything in common.  I’m genuinely interested in getting to know you better as a person to see if I can add value, not just another number or dollar sign.

Think about how you respond in those situations.  Are you dying to cut through the crap and get right to the pitch so you can move on to the next poor soul?

Or, are you also interested in learning more about me, my career, family, likes, and dislikes?

Remember, people join people, not companies.  Business opportunity seekers are looking for leadership, a mentor, coach, someone who can provide them with the right tools based on their personality to help them be successful.

This process can only work through relationships, not a “wham, bam, thank you ma’am” kind of approach (excuse the poor- taste analogy)

Control Your Reactions

You can’t control everything in your life; you can only control your direction. Just like a sailor can’t control the wind, but he can control his sails.  We can’t control every circumstance, but we can control how we react to these circumstances. No matter how hard we try, we can’t control things like weather, natural disasters, and how other people act, but we can respond in a productive or non- productive way.

Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to those situations.

How Do Your Respond?

If you aren’t in control of your reactions you are simply out of control. When you react without thinking through the potential outcomes, you are creating an environment that invites errors and mistakes. You are allowing the circumstances to dictate your response. This is not a good thing. It demonstrates a lack of control and leadership in your business. To be a success in any MLM or home business you have to maintain a clear, level head.

Trade Emotion For Clarity

Rather than flying off the handle and making impulsive decisions based on a lightning quick judgment, step back, survey the situation, think about all the possible solutions, then choose the one that will bring the best outcome.

Take emotion out of the equation.  It’s business, not personal. Treat it as such and you’ll find yourself moving forward faster in your MLM network marketing business.
