Lunch With Warren Buffett… Revisited

by on April 17, 2009

A few months back I wrote a post titled, “Lunch With Warren Buffett”, a review of an article posted by direct response marketing master Dan Kennedy.

In it, Dan expressed his disbelief regarding why rookie entrepreneurs fail to ask questions of their mentors when they have the opportunity. He then goes on to talk about how just a few targeted questions to some of the world’s top leaders helped revolutionize his business.

Here are the questions he prepared for these occasions:

How do you motivate yourself and stay motivated?

If you had to start over from scratch, knowing what you know now, what would you differently?

What’s the most important business or financial discovery you’ve made in the past year?

My business is ‘x’. If you were in my business, what do you think you might do to promote it, to kick the competition’s butt, to dominate the market?

What are the three threats to your business, your success, and how are you handling them?

What has been your biggest disappointment in your life – and what are you doing to prevent its reoccurrence?

What do you observe most people in your field doing badly that you think you do well?

If you think about the myriad of potential answers to these questions, do you think they could help shorten your learning curve and progress faster?

Absolutely.

That’s why I approached a top entrepreneur to ask him for a few minutes of his time. He graciously agreed… we’re scheduled to chat Monday, April 20 at 3:00 pm MST (not sure of the format yet, webinar, live, recorded, etc.).

He and his partners have built a $300 million + business and he’s in his mid 30s! He’s lived life on his terms and his terms only, creating the lifestyle he and his beautiful family desire.

In your quest to become the best entrepreneur you can be,  “If you had an opportunity to ask a person of this magnitude anything you want, what questions would you ask?”

The goal of this interview is to provide current and prospective entrepreneurs the information they are starving for… what do I need to know to start and build a successful business… in today’s economy… even if I don’t have any experience?

I would love to hear your comments. If you have a questions you would like answered let me know and I’ll do my best to get them worked into the interview.

The interview will be recorded and access will be made available through my blog.

Dedicated to Your Success,

Kyle Wilson
